There have been a number of Kickstarter projects in recent memory that have caught my eye. None of them have ever inspired me to become a backer. Until now.
As a Raspberry Pi owner, I’m intrigued by the inexpensive computer. I think back to tinkering with electronics as a kid and I can only imagine what today’s kids can come up with. I love the entire open source movement and I really felt compelled to support the guys at Next Thing.
In case you haven’t heard, CHIP is the world’s first $9 computer. It runs a Debian-based OS and sports a 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, and built-in 802.11b/g/n wireless with Bluetooth 4.0. All of this fits in the palm of your hand.
It’s going to be a long wait to 2016. 🙂
